MoodleMoot Conference 2018

martinMoodleMoodleMoot conferences are held around the world, with a focus on encouraging collaboration and sharing of best practices of the open source learning platform in which SRUC use for the students online teaching, learning and assessment.

Moodle is SRUC’s online learning, teaching and Digital Assessment platform, which will most definitely be utilised within the new Collaborative Learning Space at Barony Campus.

At the MoodleMoot UK & Ireland 2018 conference held at University of Strathclyde Glasgow from the 26th – 28th of March.  Presenters, education and research practitioners from 31 countries around the world were in attendance.

The SRUC e-Learning team attended the 3-day conference in which included workshops and presentations including Competency based language teaching (Ort Israel), Handing video submission with Moodle (Dublin City University) and Moodle Mobile App: Five micro-tasks to support active learning (Edinburgh Napier University).

Two areas of the conference in which really stood out, especially surrounding collaborative learning spaces:  Active-Flipped-Learning-using-Moodle-Quiz-Presented-by-Jessica-Gramp and Learning Analytics within Moodle from Intelliboard.
